Dumbarton lost 3-1 against Clyde in Hamilton today.

There was little between the sides in the opening exchanges before the hosts were handed the lead when Mark Durnan headed a cross past his own goalkeeper.

Sons got on level terms before the break through Leighton McIntosh when he had touched home Scott Tomlinson’s cross.

Clyde got their second five minutes into the second half as Dumbarton hesitated in defence and James Hilton took full advantage.

The visitors had chances to equalise with Scott Tomlinson denied on two occasions before Scott Williamson sealed the points late on.

Dumbarton drop to ninth in William Hill League 2 ahead of next weeks visit of Annan Athletic.
