Dumbarton got their 2025/26 League Two campaign under way with a 2-1 victory over Clyde this afternoon.

Goals from corners from Ryan Blair (one being attributed to a Liam Scullion own goal) had Sons ahead with Marley Redfern pulling one back before the interval.

The Bully Wee had the better of the chances on the second period but were up against an impressive Shay Kelly who made vital stops to deny Logan Dunachie and Liam Scullion.

The hosts held on for three points to move to -2 after starting the campaign on -5 ahead of the first away match of the season at Spartans next weekend.
