A hugely popular figure with fans for his all-action, fully committed style – Aron enters his fourth season at The Marbill Coaches Stadium having hit a century of appearances for the club.

The Kirkcaldy-born full-back started his career with Cowdenbeath before moving to Alloa Athletic, where he made his SPFL debut against Rangers in 2015.

A loan spell with East Stirlingshire preceded time with Brechin City, where he was a member of the squad memorably promoted to the Championship, and Albion Rovers.

Aron joined Dumbarton in the summer of 2022 and was named as the Player of the Year in his first season at the club. In his second campaign he played a key role in helping Sons win the promotion – with a stellar performance in the final second-leg at centre-half following an injury to Sean Crighton.

Aron left the club in February 2026.
