Forward Leighton McIntosh has become the fifth different player to win the Stags Head Player of the Month award this season, scooping the November prize.
The forward, who is the leading scorer in William Hill League 2, has netted 10 times already this season – becoming the first Sons player in 25 years to achieve that milestone.
In November he netted three, including the 100th club goal of his career against Clyde at the start of the month. That was followed up by strikes in our dramatic 2-1 win against Annan Athletic and in our home defeat to Forfar Athletic later in the month.
Leighton is the fifth different player to scoop the prize this season; joining teammates Ally Roy, Kai Kirkpatrick, Scott Honeyman and Adam Livingstone.
Congratulations also go to Shannon O’Grady, who won a copy of our matchday programme, Sons View, signed by Leighton – as part of a free prize draw for everyone who registered a vote.
Under the new ownership of David Davidson and the Enlightened Hospitality Group, the Stags Head have been hugely supportive of the club already this season including hosting June’s successful Meet Mario event. They also provided valuable support to the Sons Supporters Bus last season, something which is continuing this season.
Their four-figure investment into the club has seen a new Stags Head double advertising board installed pitch-side, with fan votes for The Stags Head Player of the Month taking place from July to April this season.
