Goalkeeper Harry Broun has returned to Dumbarton on a deal until January.
The 23-year-old spent 18 months as a Son between 2022 and 2024, playing 14 times after joining from Kilmarnock before leaving for Johnstone Burgh in January of 2024.
After a stint at Keanie Park, Harry returned to the SPFL with Stranraer – and spent time on loan at Hurlford United.
A permanent move to Broomhill followed, before Harry switched to Cumbernauld Colts in the summer of 2025 – establishing himself as the Broadwood side’s number one, making 36 appearances last season in the Lowland League.
Now he’s back at The Rock – sponsored by Marbill Coaches.
Boss Frank McKeown said: “Harry was impressive as a very young goalkeeper during his first spell at Dumbarton and I’ve always kept an eye on his progress since he left the club.
“He has since become a number one goalkeeper in his own right and had a successful season last year where he finished high up in the Lowland League and won a trophy. He strengthens our options in the goalkeeping department with Aidan facing a spell out, and returns to Dumbarton with a lot of experience under his belt.
“He is a determined character and a talented goalkeeper, and is ready to make his mark in the SPFL once again, having someone like David McGurn in the goalkeeping coach role will no doubt increase Harry’s levels even further. We’re really pleased to have him onboard.”
