Josiah loving life at The Rock after second stunning strike
Josiah Sowa was delighted to make another impact from the bench as we secured back-to-back victories with a 3-2 win over Kilmarnock B in the KDM Evolution Trophy.
Our Queen’s Park loanee has now found the net twice in four days, following his goal in Saturday’s victory over Spartans with another spectacular strike on Tuesday night.
“I was lucky enough to be able to score in front of my brother and sister on the Saturday, so it was a good goal and then again able to score again today,” he said.
“Two good three points and hope to win again on the Saturday.”
Sowa has enjoyed regular men’s football since arriving at The Rock – Sponsored by Marbill Coaches, on loan from the Spiders and believes the experience is helping his development.
“I’ve been improving, just having to get more men’s minutes. Obviously, the loan, that’s what it’s for, so I’ve been able to improve slowly and slowly. I hope to get better,” he revealed.
The Canadian has also had plenty of support from his family back home, who have been following his progress from afar.
“My family are very supportive back at home in Canada, so they’re always trying to watch the live streams at home,” he explained.
“So, it was amazing to actually be able to score in front of them and I love to see that they’re always supporting me.”
With another fixture coming up quickly on Saturday, Sowa is more than happy to maintain the busy schedule in both the league and KDM Evolution trophy and continue getting minutes on the pitch.
“I prefer games coming and I love playing games, so if we keep getting games like that, it would be lovely to play.”
“I came on in the second half, made an impact, so I’m pleased.”
