Midfielder David put pen to paper on a two year deal in July 2026 – after impressing during a trial spell. A tenacious and composed left footed central midfielder, David came through the ranks at Ayr United and captained the Honest Men’s U18s. He spent the 2025/26 season on loan at West of Scotland Premier League side Glenafton Athletic, playing 37 times, and has also featured for Cumnock Juniors during a loan spell.
On signing the 19-year-old, boss Frank McKeown said: “David is someone we’ve known about for a while, and when he left Ayr United over the summer we were very keen to take a look at him. He’s impressed us during pre season, and not just with his performances on the park, but with his maturity and attitude off it.
“He’s someone who is hungry, has great energy and he’s determined to make his mark in the SPFL, and – as we’ve seen with a number of our young players recently – we believe we have the right environment here for him to thrive. We’re all looking forward to working with him for the next two years to develop him further.”
