DUMBARTON FC is delighted to announce that our head of entertainment, Jim Smart, has accepted a position as an associate director of the club.
Jim joined the club last year to help us enhance the commercial and function-booking aspect of DFC, through his company Rock You Events.
He has been in business for 30 years, helping to launch three businesses including Hypnotrim and Best Acts, the latter of which went on to become one of Scotland’s biggest and best known entertainment brands.
Most recently, he launched Loch Lomond TV and then Rock You Events.
Jim’s experience with events and entertainment will help to drive new business and generate much needed additional income to help secure the ongoing success of the club.
His work on the entertainment side of the club will continue as before.
Jim is a local man, and a keen supporter of the club. He now manages his commitments as such that he can attend all home fixtures and some away ones too.
Dumbarton chairman Neil Mackay said: “Jim has a very good business sense and has amply demonstrated this through his work with us to date.
“He is a very good addition to the internal workings of our club and we look forward to working with him in his new capacity.”
Jim added: “I have really enjoyed my time with Dumbarton so far and am looking forward to getting started in this new role.
“The club is in the middle of a historic season and I am delighted to be part of it.”
