MEET THE TEAM BEHIND ALL-NEW HOSPITALITY

Big name signings aren’t just made on the park. Off it, Sons have secured a coup with Victoria and Amy Edwards taking over hospitality at the Marbill Coaches Stadium.

Known throughout the area – and well beyond – for Roo’s Kitchen on Wallace Street, Victoria and wife Amy are now serving up five star offerings at The Rock – offering a delicious, fresh and exciting menu to fans enjoying the match in style.

Victoria, who picked up the nickname Roo early in her hospitality career after the kangaroo in Winnie the Pooh, explained: “Over five years ago I took the leap into the self-employed world and started Roo’s Kitchen.

“I would do event catering, private dinner parties, afternoon tea boxes and sold thousands of cakes at markets all whilst working out of a converted kitchen at the back of our house.

“My wife Amy joined the business in June 2022 and between the two of us we have over 30 years experience in hospitality.

“In April 2023 Roo’s kitchen became the coffee shop and bistro that you all know and love on Wallace street in Dumbarton. In January 2024 we took over the space next door on Glasgow road & that became Roo’s 2 Go – our takeaway.

“Then, in May of this year, we realised that we needed a bigger kitchen prep space than what we had already to be able to keep up with the demand! This is when we made the decision to close our takeaway and completely transform it into a much bigger and better prep kitchen that is known as Taste of Home – Catering by Roo, and it’s one of the best things we have done.

“We can now do all of the prep from there meaning we can take on a lot more orders and events as well as baking all our in house homemade cakes to supply our coffee shop with.

“It’s been an absolute whirlwind over the years facing many different challenges as well as celebrating so many highs.”

And that crazy journey saw Victoria and Amy team up with the Sons of the Rock, with hospitality suites being refurbished and relaunched for the new campaign.

Victoria continued: “This brings us to now. Where Taste of Home – Catering by Roo are about to take on a new challenge and cater the hospitality at Dumbarton Football Club.

“Providing a sit down three course meal, a boardroom buffet and the half time buffet. I can’t wait for this new challenge and to see what the future holds.”

From just £55 you can enjoy a delicious three-course meal from the Taste of Home, Catering by Roo menu, half-time buffet, access to a paid bar, plus a host of entertainment either side of watching the big match from prime padded seats.

With arrival time from 12.30pm including a free welcome drink, you will be hosted by our head of hospitality Stephanie Park, while club officials will provide regular interviews, club history as well as a player Q&A session.
