Dumbarton have the first of a home double header tomorrow afternoon as they welcome Stranraer to the Rock [please note the early kick-off time of 2.00pm].

Sons will be looking for a return to winning ways after a disappointing showing against Clyde last weekend whilst Stranraer will be keen to pull themselves further away from danger at the foot of the division.

A play-off spot remains firmly in Dumbarton’s hands, but boss Stevie Farrell is keen to see his side back to their best.

Speaking to the clubs website: “In the last few weeks we have deserved more points from the games against Stenhousemuir, Forfar and Spartans, but last week against Clyde we didn’t deserve anything.

“It was the worst we have played all season and there were very few, if any, positives to take out of the game.

“Starting from tomorrow, we need to get back to the performances we have shown on plenty of occasions this season and add more points to our tally.

“It’s unusual to get to February and only have played a team on one occasion but past meetings have shown that games with Stranraer are always tight, and a big improvement is needed on last week if we are to be successful.”

In team news, the four long-term injured players of Brett Long, Greig Young, Mark Durnan and Callum Wilson remain out, though Faz reports that Wilson is due back in the squad next weekend with Durnan available against East Fife the following week.

Supporters travelling to the Rock tomorrow should make themselves aware with the following information from our Supporters Liason Officer:

Tomorrow’s referee is Sean Murdoch who will be assisted by Craig Ferguson and Brent Falconer.
