Dumbarton are back at the Rock tomorrow for the first of a quick fire home double header as they host Forfar Athletic [kick-off 3.00pm].
Sons come into the game having narrowly lost out at league leaders Stenhousemuir last week and will be looking for three points to solidify their spot in the play-offs.
Forfar, meanwhile, have lost just twice in their last seven games – against Hibs in the Scottish Cup and Stenhousemuir in the league – as they look to pull themselves further from danger at the foot of the table.
Despite defeat at Ochilview last weekend, boss Stevie Farrell insists there were positives to take as he looked ahead to tomorrow.
Speaking to the clubs website, he said: “Overall we put in a decent performance last weekend but ultimately we were left with nothing to show for it.
“We got ourselves into decent areas on more than one occasion but didn’t do enough to seriously test the goalkeeper and that’s something we have been looking at this week.
“Whilst we have had the upper hand over Forfar on both occasions this season, we know the threats they can offer and tightening up in defence and being more ruthless in the final third is vital for us.
“It’s an important week for us with three games and we will need every member of the squad to play their part.”
Faz will be without the suspended Ryan Blair tomorrow as well as the injured Kalvin Orsi, who join Brett Long, Mark Durnan, Greig Young and Callum Wilson on the sidelines.
