Dumbarton Football Club are delighted to announce that Sean Crighton has signed a contract extension ahead of the 2024/25 season.
The defender joined Sons in the summer and has been an ever present in defence since his arrival, making 30 appearances and finding the net twice.
He has also taken the captains armband in recent months after injury to Mark Durnan.
Manager Stevie Farrell said: “Getting Sean signed up for next season is another positive piece of business and one which we are pleased to get over the line.
“He is an experienced defender but still has plenty to offer and he has shown that with his solid displays this season.
“We have had to deal with a number of injuries to defenders this season but having someone like Sean at the back to talk his teammates through the game is a real positive and one of his strengths.
“Planning for the next season is something which I am always keen to do and we are pleased with the business we have done so far, hopefully with more to come.”
