A SCOTTISH political party leader, his deputy and a Sky Sports commentator were among those in attendance at Saturday’s game against Forfar Athletic.

Local MSP Jackie Baillie, who is deputy leader of the Scottish Labour Party, brought leader Anas Sarwar with her to hospitality at the match.

The duo also visited the club’s 150th anniversary exhibition at Dumbarton Library before travelling to Dumbarton Football Stadium.

Mr Sarwar later Tweeted: “Celebrating 150 years of Dumbarton FC with Jackie Baillie.

“A fantastic exhibition of their history and journey and a great game today too – finished 2-2.

“Local clubs and supporters are the lifeblood of the game.”

Meanwhile, Sky Sports commentator Ian Crocker was also among the crowd against the Loons.

With no cinch Premiership action to commentate on for the next few weeks, Mr Crocker took the opportunity to see some lower league action.

He Tweeted: “Enjoyable game at the Rock. Top v bottom but Dumbarton 2, ten-man Forfar 2.

“Plus decent pie and Bovril.”
