Dumbarton Football Club would like to apologise to all supporters who were affected by the late postponement of last nights fixture with Stirling Albion.

We are aware this is not the first time that this particular fixture has been called off shortly before kick-off and understand the frustration from both sets of supporters, which we too share.

The park was in a playable condition throughout the day with a heavy downpour which started at 5:00pm leaving the surface waterlogged.

The match official was confident of the game going ahead when he arrived at the stadium however the constant rain left the pitch unplayable.

Whilst we hope that such an experience is not repeated, we also appreciate that there is need to review and improve upon how we communicate and provide support to fans in such unexpected situations.

We thank supporters for their understanding and patience, and hope to see you all the Dumbarton Football Stadium on April 18th for the re-scheduled fixture with our reduced entry fees of £10 and £5.
