Tomorrow will see our women’s side host Rossvale Development at Our Lady & St. Patrick’s High School as the team look to bounce back from some difficult results.
It will be the second meeting between the two sides this season with second-placed Rossvale winning the first meeting 4-1 at Kirkintilloch Community Sports Centre back in October.
Following a close but ultimately disappointing defeat to Drumchapel last Sunday the ladies will be looking to return to winning ways and hope to regain third spot in the table that they lost last weekend.
Our opponents were also defeated last week, losing out 3-2 at home to Gleniffer Thistle and the girls will be looking to further dent their opponents title charge and inflict another defeat on them this week at OLSP.
Previewing the match Mirren Esdale said: “I think we’ll look to do what we did in the first half against Drumchapel again but ensure if things don’t go our way that we don’t let our heads drop and stick to our game plan this time”
“We have the ability to push them all the way with our starting eleven and can get through with a win if we all do our jobs.”
Head Coach Gerry Gallacher spoke about his sides recent run of games against the top sides in the SWFL West
He said: “Our matches against top table teams continues against Rossvale.
“This is perhaps the toughest tie and one the players are keen to do well in to get back to winning ways.
“We have couple of key players struggling with knocks from last week but they will hopefully all be fit to start.”
Gerry’s side are missing Mya Logan, Niamh McAleer and Olivia Oliver with Alisha Biggerstaff also a doubt.
