A TALK on Dunbartonshire and the birth of the modern game will take place at Dumbarton Library on Tuesday, December 13.
Richard McBrearty, curator of the Scottish Football Museum at Hampden Park, will give a talk on the area’s contribution to the early development of the game.
This led to the area being called ‘The Cradle of Scottish Football’ in the early years of Scottish football.
The talk will get underway at 6pm. Attendance is free but booking a place in advance is encouraged.
