Season ticket sales smash target

We’re delighted to say that we’ve smashed our target of selling 800 season tickets for the new campaign – and there’s still time to purchase one or Pass it On.

In total 810 season tickets have been sold for the new season, representing an incredible response from Sons fans, new and old, following Mario Lapointe’s takeover in June – and the highest number since our time in the Championship almost a decade ago.

This means that The Marbill Coaches Stadium will be rocking all season long, with 653 regular tickets and 157 Pass it On tickets sold – giving young supporters the chance to enjoy a full 18 game William Hill League 2 season without spending a single penny on entry.

The Pass It On Campaign was the brainchild of our new owner Mario Lapointe. With some kids not always able to make games due to costs, we want to help remove these barriers to the beautiful game as much as we can.

For every member that signs up and pays their £30 we will give away one free season ticket to a Young Son, allowing them to come to every league game for free.

DFC’s Cam Watson said: “The response to season ticket sales and the Pass it On campaign has been nothing short of remarkable, and shows the huge strides already taken in bring Dumbarton Football Club back to the community we want to be a key part of.

“We knew that Mario’s target was ambitious when it was set, but we firmly believed in the vision he had – and so have our supporters. We’re now in a situation where we could have attendances averaging almost 1,000 at home games for the first time in more than 10 years and we know that Stevie and the players are extremely grateful for the support.”

Young Sons, under the age of 16, can also pick up their free scarf from the club shop during today’s game with Clyde.
