Powerful defender Morgyn returned for a second spell at Dumbarton in May 2025, four years after leaving the club.

First brought to the club by Jim Duffy in the summer of 2019, he missed just one match in two seasons as a Dumbarton player – and scored the goal which secured victory in the League Two playoffs during the Covid-interrupted 2020/21 season.

He left for full-time football with Cove Rangers in the summer of 2021, helping the Toonsers win the League One title and being named in the PFA Team of the Year in his first season at the club.

A campaign in the Championship followed, before two seasons at Alloa Athletic.

Prior to joining Dumbarton, Morgyn – known as Scoop – had featured for Ayr United, Livingston, Stranraer and Stenhousemuir.

Morgyn joined Elgin City on loan in February 2026.
