Creative midfielder Alexander, who holds dual British and American citizenship, joined the Sons on loan from Rangers in February 2026 – setting up a goal on his debut just a few hours later in a 1-1 draw with Stirling Albion at Forthbank.

He followed that up with a starring role on his first senior start in a 3-0 victory against Spartans a week later.

A product of Rangers’ youth system, Sons saw off stiff competition from Championship sides for his signature. Alexander has been capped at youth level by both Scotland and the USA.
