Dumbarton are back at the Marbill Coaches Stadium tomorrow afternoon as they face Queen of the South for the final time this season [kick-off 3:00pm].
Sons will be looking to build on last weekends point against league leaders Arbroath whilst the Doonhamers picked up three points against Alloa Athletic to maintain their bid for the play-off places.
Home advantage has been key in the meetings between the sides this season with victory going the way of the hosts in all three league meetings so far – Tony Wallace’s last kick of the ball penalty won Dumbarton all three points at the Rock back in November.
Boss Stevie Farrell was pleased for his side last weekend as they have been unfortunate to come away empty handed in recent weeks and insists full focus is on backing that up tomorrow.
Speaking to the clubs website, he said: “It looked as if it was going to be a familiar story for us last week but the guys kept going and got what they deserved at the very least. I was delighted for them and for the supporters.
“We more than matched the team who are top of the league and we have shown that over the last five or six weeks we more than capable of competing and just haven’t been getting the breaks.
“Obviously we know what tomorrow could bring but we just need to focus on the task in front of us and it’s not going to change the way we approach the game.”
