Dumbarton return to the Marbill Coaches Stadium tomorrow afternoon for their penultimate home match of the 2024/25 season as Cove Rangers are the visitors [kick-off 3:00pm].
Sons are unbeaten in four having won their last two matches, a 3-2 win against Alloa Athletic a fortnight ago before a stunning 6-0 win at Kelty Hearts last weekend.
Paul Hartley’s side are winless in their last four games which has allowed Arbroath to take steps towards sealing the title, which could be wrapped up at Ochilview tomorrow evening.
For Dumbarton, boss Stevie Farrell admits that last weeks result was one he felt was coming and is pleased to have had something to cheer about in recent weeks.
He told the clubs website: “Last weeks performance was sensational and has to go in the bracket of one of best performances in my time with the club.
“It wasn’t a complete surprise – I feel we have been threatening a result like that for a while and it was one of those days where everything comes off for you.
“We scored some fantastic goals and it’s a high moment in what has obviously been a difficult season.
“We’re on a great run and we want to keep that going back at our place tomorrow. We’ve put in some brilliant performances away from home but we want to do that on our own patch to properly thank our supporters for their unbelievable backing this season.”
