Dumbarton are in William Hill League One action tomorrow as they travel to Alloa Athletic, looking to build on last weeks victory over Queen of the South [kick-off 3:00pm].
Sons entered administration this week and were handed a 15-point deduction by the SPFL which has seen them fall to the bottom of the table.
The Wasps were leading the way in League One until last weekend when they lost 1-0 at Inverness which allowed Kelty Hearts to take top spot.
The sides have met once this season in entertaining circumstances as the points were shared in a six-goal thriller at the Marbill Coaches Stadium in August.
Michael Ruth had put Dumbarton ahead before Luke Donnelly and Kevin Cawley turned the game in the visitors favour.
Sons hit back through James Hilton and Ruth put his side again once more before a late deflected strike form Scott Taggart earned Alloa a draw.
Boss Stevie Farrell admits that it has been a difficult week for all involved with the club but knows he and his players need to do their best to put it behind them for 90-minutes.
Speaking to the clubs website, he said: “What has happened this week has obviously been well documented and I feel for all of our supporters, players and officials who have been affected by the news.
“For now, as difficult as it may be, the only thing we can do is focus on the football and allow the various people behind the scenes to do what they have been brought in to do.`
“Myself and my coaching staff have spoken with the players and I can safely say that we are all in this together. We know the circumstances and it’s now up to us to get as many points on the board as we can.
“We had a very positive performance last week and got what we deserved with the late goal. Whilst it’s going to be difficult tomorrow for a number of reasons, we are more than capable of a successful outcome if we can apply ourselves the same way.”
Matty Shiels remains the only absentee for Dumbarton tomorrow with a full pool of players to choose from otherwise.
