Anyone turning seven in 2026 will be eligible to attend Dumbarton games with a parent or guardian for free throughout the year – and get the gift of a free Sons scarf or hat to kick off their journey with the club in style.
Launched today (January 1) the Gen7 campaign means that any young person can simply come to reception at the Marbill Coaches Stadium on or within 30 days of their seventh birthday – show proof of their age, and attend league games for a whole calendar year with a parent or carer totally free!
Owner Mario Lapointe explained: “I remember being seven years old on my grandfather Henry’s farm. I can still feel the weight of the stones I cleared from the pasture, building fences with him and my uncle and the sound of the tractor, the golden fields rocking in the winds. It’s been fifty years, but those memories haven’t faded. They are still in my head because that was the moment I realised I wasn’t just a guest on that land; I was part of it. I had a job, a place, and a purpose.
“At Dumbarton FC, we know that age seven is a magic birthday. It’s the age when a child stops just looking at the world and starts wanting to belong to it. We don’t want to just give your child a seat in the stands; we want to give them the same feeling I had on that farm. We want to give them a stake in the soil of this community.”
