Our ladies team suffered a heavy defeat to Gleniffer Thistle during their second-ever game at The Rock sponsored by Marbill Coaches. Kenny McInnes was left without captain Eva McInnes and top scorer Gemma McGarry for the ScottishPower Regional League Cup tie and was forced to tinker with his formation.
Marcia McKay, Natasha Marshall and Rebecca Donegan all netted doubles during a blistering first half by the visitors from Paisley.
A raft of changes in the second half, including the replacement of injured goalkeeper Kira Swallow with midfielder Sophie Reid was mildly successful, with only one further Thistle goal after the restart, Marshall completing her hat-trick.
