Match Report

Dumbarton were defeated 4-0 by St Mirren at the Marbill Coaches Stadium this afternoon.

Mikael Mandron headed the away side in front towards the end of the first-half for a strong Premiership outfit.

Changes followed for both teams at the half-time interval with Roland Idowu then adding a quick brace before the hour mark to take the game away from Sons.

James Scott completed the scoring before full-time when he glanced home a header from Thomas Falconer’s cross.

Dumbarton were watched on by new owner Mario Lapointe for the first time as the pre-season schedule continues at Irvine Meadow on Thursday.
