DUMBARTON START HOME DOUBLE HEADER

DUMBARTON are back at home tomorrow, with Elgin City the first opponents at Dumbarton Football Stadium this week, in a match sponsored by Algas Group.

Retaining top spot in cinch League Two, Sons hope to extend their cushion, potentially to six points, by winning against the Moray outfit tomorrow.

It is a position that manager Stevie Farrell wants his team to bear in mind tomorrow as they look to return to winning ways after last week’s game against East Fife.

He said: “There were things to work on after last week, but there were things to build on too and we will be looking to do that tomorrow.

“However, as always, it will take hard work on our part if we are to get a result tomorrow. Elgin have had a tough week involving two matches already, and will be anxious to bounce back themselves.

“We will need to maintain the defensive resilience which has taken us so far already this season, and take our chances when they come along.

“But we are back in front of our home fans, and have seen what a positive effect they have had in this campaign. We will be looking to send those fans home happy with another result at home tomorrow.”

John Gemmell is the only player currently confirmed as being out tomorrow, but the manager will wait on the fitness of some other players before deciding who will play.

Admission for fans paying on the day costs £15 for adults, £10 for over-65s and students (valid ID required), and £5 for under-16s.

Tickets are available to purchase in advance of your visit to Dumbarton Football Stadium. However, season ticket holders and Young Sons members will of course get in with their passes as usual.

Away supporters will be situated in the west stand, but are welcome to enter through the home turnstiles and make use of Bar 72 before the game.

There is also the chance to win a cash windfall in our half time draw, which you can purchase a ticket for in advance.

Kane Hester is Elgin’s top scorer this season, with 25 goals in all competitions, 15 of which have been in the league.

Dan McFarlane will referee tomorrow’s game, and will have assistance from Graham McNeillie and Will Pare.
