AS part of our plans for the future, Dumbarton FC welcomes all sponsorship and support going forward.
Partnerships are one of those methods of sponsorship – and we have exciting news of one which has just been confirmed following meetings yesterday (March 31).
Realising the potential opportunities for the club, we can announce we are going into partnership with the Blackpool Tourist Board.
It is a development which will see Dumbarton Football Stadium change its name to Blackpool Rock, reflecting our location at the foot of Dumbarton Rock.
Looking ahead to the future of this partnership, general manager Antonia Love said: “We are very excited by this partnership, which potentially could include an annual friendly with Blackpool if they are able to play it.
“Football is a very important part of the lives of everybody at the two clubs, and to have a partnership with another club with a famous rock is hugely beneficial.
“Other partnerships with famous rocks are also being pursued – including perhaps with a certain famous wrestler, with Wrestlemania taking place this weekend.”
