SONS have not yet kicked off their Betfred 2017/18 campaign, but there has been two matches played in Group E which Stevie Aitken’s teams are part of.
Ayr United kicked things off last night by hosting their Ayrshire rivals Kilmarnock and the Premiership side lost to the Honest Men by a single goal to nil thanks to former Son Andy Geggan’s headed effort in the first half of the game.
At Broadwood this afternoon Clyde defeated Annan Athletic 2-1 and moved to the top of the section by virtue of goals scored.
Dumbarton will play Ayr United at the Dumbarton Football Stadium on Tues 18th July, kick-off 19.45.
Entry prices are as follows – £15 for adults, £9 for concessions and £20 parent and child ticket (U-12)
