Our Lowland League under-20s squad are enjoying a stellar year, and now have back-to-back semi-finals to look forward to as they aim to end the campaign with silverware.
Tonight (Friday, March 27) the 20s travel to New Bayview to take on East Fife in the semi-finals of the Lowland Development League Knockout Cup – with both sides aiming to secure a spot in the showpiece later in the year.
Then, on Friday April 17, Jordan Woodford’s Young Sons will welcome the University of Stirling – Scotland’s University for Sporting Excellence – to Budhill in the semi-finals of the Lowland Under 20 Development League Challenge Cup. With both clubs enjoying superb league campaigns.
Looking ahead, Jordan said: “We’re really pleased with the progress the group has made this season. The players have shown strong consistency, and to reach consecutive cup semi-finals reflects the standards they’ve set.
“There’s been clear development both individually and collectively, and the way the group has competed week to week has been excellent.
“Our focus now is on finishing the season strongly, while continuing to build and strengthen the squad to push on even further moving forward.”
