Burns Supper reservations open with line-up announced
We’re delighted to announce that our 2026 Burns Supper is now open for reservations for the evening of Friday, January 30.
Once again, we have a varied and talented line-up of visitors familiar and new to the annual event, which has grown in popularity every year.
For £30 a ticket (tables of up to eight) you can expect a four-course meal by Alex Graham Catering, plus all of the speakers and artists below.
Simon Barrow will propose the toast to Dumbarton FC. A long-standing journalist, writer and of course Sons fan, Simon has written a column in our matchday programme for the best part of 20 years. He is an accomplished public speaker and we are pleased he has been able to fit us into his busy diary for the evening.
Alex Stuart will propose the Immortal Memory to Robert Burns. President of the Glasgow Royalty Burns Club, this is one of over 20 Burns Suppers that Alex will be performing at during the 2026 season. He is a highly knowledgeable source of information on all things to do with Scotland’s national bard and we will be delighted to have him speak and perform songs for us.
Robert Ryan will deliver the Toast to the Lassies. Quite simply, he needs no introduction to Sons fans, having been the driving force behind many fundraising activities during the past year. A lifelong Sons fan, Robert has enjoyed a long working life in the local retail sector and currently as an independent funeral celebrant. He is also the current president of Sandyford Burns Club in Glasgow. Like Alex, he will double his speech with a performance of songs.
Yvonne Waring will give the Reply for the Lassies. This will be Yvonne’s second time at our Burns Supper – the first time was so popular that she was invited to perform at another event in Dumbarton later in the year. A schoolteacher through the week, Yvonne is a talented actress who has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe, and extremely popular on the Burns circuit who we very much look forward to having back.
Stuart Brodie will once again be reciting Burns’ poem Tam o’ Shanter. This will be his fourth visit in a row – and if you haven’t seen him perform it before, you will know why we keep inviting him back when you see him on the night. He is one of Robert’s predecessors as Sandyford president and it is not only DFC where his performance of Tam goes down well. We can’t wait to see it again.
There are more elements of the evening to be confirmed. DFC executive director Cameron Watson will be in the chair to oversee proceedings.
To book your tickets, visit Fanbase and find the Burns Supper under the events section. If you have any dietary requirements, please contact events@dumbartonfc.co.uk to advise of what they are.
We look forward to seeing you for what should be another excellent evening.
