Tomorrow sees our women’s side return to action with their first pre-season friendly away to Ardrossan Winton Rovers.
Kick-off is at 2:30 at Winton Park in Ardrossan.
The girls go into the match after a solid first season in the SWFL West and look to get back into the swing of things as they prepare for another crack at the revamped regional league.
Gerry spoke ahead of the match: “After such a competent team performance last time at the end of our last season from our young squad, where they held their own, were never outplayed, never out-thought or bullied playing against experienced quality opposition last season, it’s good to be back.
“This year we hope for some good crowds, atmosphere and the continued all-around great support at the club
“It has been a pleasure to listen to club owner Mario Lapointe chat regarding the direction he sees for the club overall, and about his full support for women’s side.
“I can’t wait for myself; all staff and players at to give another season our very best shot. We hope to see supporters at our games this year as the team look to kick on and do the badge proud.”
Our opponents finished 7th out of 9 in the SWFL South with 19 points from 16 games last season and finished up their season with a 6-0 loss to Cumnock Juniors.
