THREE of Sons academy players were invited to train with Stevie Aitken’s first team squad this week, much to the delight of DFC’s head of youth Tony McNally.
Lewis Crawford and Dillon Young from the 17s joined up at Benburb for a couple of sessions as did on-loan youngster Kyle Prior.
Tony is clearly happy with how his players are progressing.
He told us : “We are pushing the players hard to encourage their development and all the hard work is paying off.
“To have the three lads – who are not the first this season – to get experience of a first team training session is great news for everyone.
“We are challenging the boys to keep getting better and they are responding.
“The gaffer and Faz have been great and the encouragement we are receiving is a boost for everyone.”
