RICO QUITONGO, voted by supporters as Sonstrust young player of the year at the end of season 2019/20, has completed a deal for a second season with Dumbarton today.
Having started pre-season on trial with Sons, the left back ended the campaign as a firm favourite among the fans.
He attended the C&G Systems Stadium today to sign his one-year deal, and hopes to kick on and enjoy another successful campaign.
Manager Jim Duffy said: “Rico was a very worthy winner of the young player of the year award and we’re delighted he sees his future with us.
“He is of course from a strong footballing family and that’s been easy to see with his performances in a Dumbarton shirt to date.
“We’re hopeful that there’s even more to come from him and I know he’ll continue to show the same fantastic attitude he’s displayed since day one.”
