GOALKEEPER Callum Erskine is Dumbarton’s next recruit, signing a deal for the new season with the club this morning.
Callum launched his career at the Forth Valley Football Academy and turned out for Falkirk’s youth teams before signing for English outfit Bury.
But financial difficulties at Gigg Lane led to Callum returning north, before he signed for Stenhousemuir in the 2020 close season.
In a League Cup tie against Edinburgh City, he saved three penalties in the shootout to help the Warriors secure the bonus point.
He has now become a Dumbarton player, and manager Stevie Farrell was pleased to bring the 20-year-old to the club.
The gaffer said: “Callum has almost his whole senior career in front of him and is a very exciting prospect.
“He continues learning every day as a goalkeeper, but already has very decent ability and we’re confident this will prove to be a shrewd move.”
Look out for an interview with Callum on the club website later today.
