WYLDE SIGNS NEW DEAL

Gregg Wylde has signed a new contract with Dumbarton Football Club, penning a one-year deal that will see him stay at the club for the 2023/24 season.

The left-sided player joined Sons in January of last year, initially playing one game as a trialist before signing a deal until the end of the current campaign.

The 32-year-old has made 48 appearances so far in his time at The Rock and has scored six goals in the process.

Wylde joins teammates David Wilson, Ross MacLean and Ryan Blair in signing new deals in the last week. Brett Long, Finlay Gray and Ryan Wallace are also under contract for next season.

Dumbarton boss Stevie Farrell said: “Gregg’s CV speaks for itself in terms of playing for one of the biggest clubs in the country, winning silverware and playing south of the border.

“He has a lot of experience under his belt and we know what he is still capable of offering us both on and off the pitch.

“Gregg has shown he can be an effective player for us on the left, whether that be in defence or in midfield, and we are delighted he has opted to remain with us.”

Sponsorship opportunities are available for next season with Gregg’s home and away shirt available. Contact office@dumbartonfc.co.uk.
