Wednesday 17th June 2015

SONS new signing Wullie Gibson gives his first interview following joining up at the Dumbarton Football Stadium today.

The 30-year old winger who left Stranraer to join up with Stevies Aitken and Farrell at the Rock says that he can’t wait to get started.

“The Championship is a good league to be playing in and I’m delighted that I’ll be once again have Stevie as my boss.

“He was very persuasive about his plans for Dumbarton and once we got talking, I had no hesitation in joining.

“We know each other well, and that helps.

“There was a real team spirit at Stranraer and I know that we can re-create that at the Sons.

“Being positive certainly helps and both the boss and Faz have that in abundance.”

Wullie described what supporters can expect of him going forward and is keen for the season to get going.

“I like to play attacking football and hopefully I’ll be able to show that in the games we play.”

Training starts this Sunday with the manager deciding to move the day from the original time on Saturday and Gibson is looking forward to meeting his new squad mates.

“It’ll be good to get things started and getting some structure. The season is just around the corner and games will soon be on us.”
