WILSON LOOKING TO MAKE HIS MARK

Monday 16th February 2015

SONS new signing Mark Wilson is looking get frustration out of his sytem playing for Dumbarton FC in the SPFL Championship.

The former Celtic and Dundee United player is looking upon his time at the Rock as an opportunity.

He said: “It’s been a frustrating period for me and I can’t wait to be playing competitive football again.

“Reserve football is not the same as playing for the first team and getting back to playing at Championship level is a great chance for me.”

Ian Murray stepped in to sign Mark when it became clear that he was available, and so far the former Scottish internationalist has been impressed with his new club.

“I met the boys at training on Thursday and things fell into place.

“I knew Darren and Stuart from previous clubs and I’m sure that the squad is more than capable of doing well.

“It was disappointing to lose to Cowdenbeath when I made my debut last Saturday, but I’m sure we’ll bounce back.

“It’s a huge game at Easter Road at the weekend coming and with another week’s training under my belt, I’m hoping to get involved.”

Here’s hoping Mark’s time at the Rock is a successful period for both player and club.

Welcome to DFC.
