A famous local hotel is pledging support for Sons youth development initiative by sponsoring bench jackets for all our Club Academy Scotland teams.
Robert Patterson who is the Landlord of the Commodore Hotel, now part of the Vintage Inns chain in Helensburgh, has kindly agreed to make sure our lads will be kept warm during the season by providing funds for the new Respect DFC 1872 range of jackets.
Jim Chapman, DFC’s director of youth and community development brokered the deal and is delighted at yet another backer for the club’s youth programme.
He said: “Local firms an businesses are important to our community and development work at DFC. Robert and his team at the Commodore didn’t hesitate to come on board when asked and the contribution he and his company have made is a great boost.
“On behalf of the club I’d like to thank him for helping.”

For season 2012/13, Dumbarton FC are running no fewer than four age-group teams under our youth initiative banner.
Our under 13, under-14, under-15 and dual band under-16/17 teams will operate in the (SFA) Club Academy Scotland Youth Initiative after successfully passing a rigorous audit process.
To help us meet our commitment to homegrown talent, we are actively seeking team sponsors for all our age group teams and have created a range of opportunities for a variety of budgets.
