A GOAL by Adam Frizzell — scoring on his debut for Dumbarton for the second time — was enough to give Dumbarton all three points in a 1-0 win over Clyde tonight.
The forward marked his first game back at the club with the opening goal on 13 minutes after a neat attacking move by Sons.
Chances came and went in the first half before the visitors got on top of things in the second half, with keeper Kevin Dabrowski forced into some fine saves.
At the other end, Ryan McGeever was denied in style by the keeper late in the game, but Sons were not to be denied a second straight victory.
It was also their third clean sheet at the start of the league season – the first time they have ever achieved as such.
The next league match is away to East Fife on Saturday.
