DUMBARTON have three more preparatory games before the first competitive action of the 2013/14 football season begins.
On Saturday 13th July, the Sons face last term’s SFL First Division Champions, Partick Thistle, as the newly promoted Jags visit the Rock, in a repeat of the final home fixture of the last campaign.
Then on Tuesday16th July Dumbarton go on the road to take on Brechin City from the Second Division, at a venue yet to be announced.
On Tuesday 23rd July Falkirk come to the Bet Butler Stadium to play the Final of the 2012/13 Stirlingshire Cup, with the prize being one of the oldest trophies in Scottish football.
The opening competitive match is on Saturday 27th July, featuring a tough trip to Stranraer for our Ramsden’s Cup First Round South West tie.
The following week, Tuesday 30th July, sees the renewal of Dumbarton’s regular pre-season fixture against junior rivals Clydebank, at Holm Park.
