TWO LEAVE

Wednesday 16th January 2019

TWO more players have left Dumbarton as the changes continue to Jim Duffy’s squad.

Midfielder Brad Spencer and goalkeeper Jamie McGowan have been released by the club.

Spencer scored three goals during his time with Sons, one of which was scored as a trialist.

McGowan, meanwhile, played four games from the start as well as coming on as a sub once.

The two players are wished well for the future.

Manager Jim Duffy said: “The two players wanted to try a new challenge and I wouldn’t stand in their way.

“These departures, along with that of Andy Dowie and the continued injuries, obviously make it imperative that we add to our squad.

“I would hope to have news for our fans on this in due course, certainly before our next game at home to Montrose.

“However, both I and the board would ask for patience during this process. Everybody is working as hard as they can on this front.

“In the meantime, I wish all three players who have left us this week the very best for the future.”
