DEFENDER Craig Pettigrew has left the club, with his current contract being cancelled by mutual consent.
His final game for the Sons was in yesterday’s 2-1 defeat against Morton.
Craig started his career with Sons’ 2016/17 Championship rivals Ayr United before moving into junior football with Auchinleck Talbot in 2008.
During his time at Beechwood Park he won the Scottish Junior Cup three times and the West Region title twice, along several Scotland junior caps.
He returned to the senior game with Stranraer in 2014 and signed for Dumbarton in the summer of 2016.
His debut came against Forfar Athletic in July 2016 and he made a total of 19 appearances for Dumbarton.
