SONS today completed the signing, subject to paperwork being progressed, of Scotland youth cap Tom Lang on a deal until the end of the current season.
The 19-year-old defender was freed by the Ibrox side at the end of last season.
Lang spent just a season at Gers after joining from Birmingham last year and was a member of the Scotland Under-17 team that made it to the semi-finals of the 2014 European Championships.
Tom joined up with his new colleagues at Sons training complex at Benburb tonight.
Manager Stevie Aitken commented: “Tom will give us another option in our defending department.
“With Frazer (Wright) and Craig (Pettigrew) moving on, we had to act quickly, and Tom comes recommended.”
In other news, Stuart Carswell’s international clearance has been received, and he will be available for selection v league leaders Hibernian this Saturday.
