THE fresh squad being assembled by gaffer Jim Duffy begins training for the new season this evening.
Club vice-chairman Colin Hosie said: “Things may seem to have been a bit quiet during this period of the close season, but there has been plenty of activity behind the scenes.
“Tonight the lads get back together again after their summer breaks and preparation for the forthcoming campaign gets underway.
“First up for the Sons is the Betfred Cup. But the League One challenge is very much on our minds, too.
“There’s more signing news in the pipeline. Thanks to our supporters who have been getting their season tickets.
“We’re all raring to go again, and Jim Duffy and his staff will be aiming to get us into the best possible shape for the challenges ahead.”
