DUMBARTON fans of all generations were given a look behind the scenes at Dumbarton Football Stadium this morning on the special 150th anniversary tour.
Club historian Jim McAllister, who is overseeing celebrations of the club’s 150th anniversary, led visitors through a detailed tour of the stadium, outlining Dumbarton’s first century and a half.
As well as gaining an insight into the stadium, supporters were also able to purchase merchandise for the 150th anniversary, and general manager Antonia Love reported that a sponsorship opportunity was also snapped up.
Jim said: “It was encouraging to see so many people – existing and new supporters, and from various age ranges – turn out to learn more about the history of their local club.
“It was a great morning and we have had some excellent feedback. We hope to see all those faces back at the stadium this season – and that they will be happy ones on a matchday.”
