TOUGH RUN COMING UP

Friday 23rd October 2015

SONS entertain Falkirk at the Cheaper Insurance Direct Stadium looking to secure more points in their Championship campaign.

Dumbarton finished the game strongly against Hibs and despite the defeat, manager Stevie Aitken is upbeat and positive about the next set of matches at home, starting with Falkirk.

He said: “Hopefully the momentum we achieved at Easter Road can be carried forward..

“Our squad is working as hard as ever and the effort and application both in training and in games cannot be faulted.

“But it’s fine lines that are keeping us away from our targets.

“Mistakes in the Championship are punished and I belive but for the tiniest of margins we’d have more than 10 points at this stage.

“We have a massive two-weeks coming up with back-to-back matches at home.

“We know it will be difficult but we will certainly go in to both games with confidence and try our very best to keep moving upward.

“Our support both at home and away has been excellent and it really does make a difference to the players when we have that positive backing, staring again tomorrow.”

Match Details: Tomorrow’s game is sponsored by the Sons Supporters Society and has a 3pm kick-off.

We welcome to the boardroom our sponsors from Baxter Ramsay and of cours officials from Falkirk FC.

Also present will be the new MP for West Dunbartonshire, Martin Docherty, who is a guess of the Sonstrust.

In team news, Kevin Cawley (pictured above) broke down in training this week and joins Jamie Lindsay and Scott Taggart on the missing list. Also out is Frazer Wright who is facing 2 weeks on the sidelines with a knee problem.

Otherwise, all those who were involved in the Hibs match are fit and will be available for the Falkirk encounter.
