TOUGH GAME AGAINST LIVINGSTON

Tuesday 26th December 2017

BOXING DAY football today at the YOUR Radio 103FM Stadium with Livingston our visitors.

Referee today is Nick Walsh with Graham McNeillie and Kevin McElhinney assisting.

Manager Stevie Aitken is looking forward to the festive fixture this afternoon. He said : “A draw on Saturday against Falkirk was probably in the end a fair result, but we felt we could have sneaked a goal. Today’s game will be just as difficult and hopefully conditions will be better than at the weekend, which were poor. Livingston are a strong team and have taken to the Championship very well.”

Sons and Livingston FC have met 44 times with 18 wins to Dumbarton, 4 draws and 22 victories for the Lions. Last time both clubs met at the Tony Macaroni Arena in September, Livingston won 2-1 with a late Craig Halkett goal.

Chris McLaughlin will be out of action for a significant period following his unfortunate injury last Saturday. Mark Stewart remains sidelined too and Grant Gallagher continues his rehabilitation. There will be a check on Dimitris Froxylias and Danny Handling (pictured), who made the bench against Falkirk could also be available.
