WHILE there’s only one place that true Sons fans will want to be on Sunday (at New Broomfield for the Ir Bru SFL First Division Playoff Final second leg), those who can’t make Dumbarton’s vital game against Airdrie United can enjoy it on BBC Alba once more.
Reaction to the satellite channel broadcast from the Rock on Wednesday night, when Dumbarton won 2-1 (see the full match report, exclusive SonsPlayer coverage and the summary here), has been fantastic.
“The game was a real credit to the Second Division, and it made compelling watching,” one enthusiastic viewer told us. The broadcast also created a slice of history – the first time that the Sons of the Rock have been shown live on TV in their 140-year existence.
Those intending to set their recorders for the game on Sunday 20th May should remember that it starts at 4pm. The BBC Alba coverage, which we are sure will be excellent once more, begins a little earlier. Check your television schedule carefully!
