DUMBARTON FC’s safety officer, David Douglas, has expressed thanks to Sons supporters for their co-operation at Saturday’s Betfred Cup tie against Kilmarnock.
A larger than expected away support meant that some Killie fans had to be accommodated at the far right hand side of the stadium, which is usually used by the home support.
Some fans had already taken their seats in this section, but moved to enable the visitors to be accommodated.
David said: “I would just like to record my appreciation to our fans for their assistance with the overspill of Kilmarnock fans on Saturday.
“The number of visiting fans attending was considerably greater than expected and exceeded the capacity of the away section.
“Without your co-operation the match would have had to be postponed.”
