DUMBARTON FC wishes to thank all supporters who came to Dumbarton Football Stadium last night for the launch of our 150th anniversary strip and merchandise.
Right from opening time at 6pm, our club shop volunteers were busy as a healthy crowd of supporters came forward to buy our new kit and other commemorative goods.
The steady flow towards the counter in Bar 72 continued throughout the evening, while bar service was also available.
And some supporters went home with even more, as they were winners of a fundraising raffle, with prizes including signed strips from last season.
Our players were also around in the early part of the evening for photos and autographs before heading out to the pitch for a training session.
All of the club’s board were in attendance as well, with chairman Neil Mackay delighted by the turnout.
He said: “We were thrilled by the response of our supporters to last night’s launch and we thank everybody who came along, whether they made a purchase or not.
“Many thanks also to the volunteers who gave up their time to look after shop sales and perform other duties on the night. They were certainly kept very busy and we really do appreciate it.
“We are approaching a big season for the club and last night was a very special way for us to launch ourselves into it.”
If you weren’t able to attend the stadium last night, then don’t fear – we are open again until 1.30pm today.
